This painting was the first in my series of musicians. The photograph was taken at a CD release performance in 1998 at Music Millenium in Portland, Oregon. Linda is a powerful blues and soul singer, and I chose this photograph of her to best communicate her strength and her spirit. This painting was later used for the cover of her CD, titled “Clearly”.
