Artist comment:  The first time I saw Trombone Shorty perform at the Waterfront Blues Festival in Portland, I was blown away. That was in 2009, and since then I have not missed a performance. I’ve taken hundreds of photos of him and his band at numerous concerts in the last ten years, and each time the performances get better. After all those concerts, I finally had one photo that I felt would be perfect to use as reference for this painting. This one was actually from one of his most recent performances in Portland, at Revolution Hall (which was originally my old high school!)

Limited edition prints are available, 15×20″ – $150
