Artist comment: “This is the third painting of my daughter, Liana. She lives in another state, and I miss her very much. Since the process of painting a portrait brings the artist closer to their subject, painting my daughter kind of keeps her closer to home, and closer to my heart.”

Artist comment: “Zoe’s parents were thrilled with the painting, but the very best comment came from Zoe herself, when she whispered to her mom… “I feel like I’m famous!”

Artist comment: “I was honored to paint this portrait of Betsy Arntz, which was commissioned by US Fab as a gift for their customer, Harley Marine Services. The painting includes the barge that was named after Betsy, in honor of her longtime devotion to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. In 2010, Betsy lost her life to Juvenile Diabetes at the young age of 29. The painting was unveiled during the barge christening ceremony in Seattle in November 2011 (see photos below) and the barge is now part of the Harley Marine Services Fleet. US Fab and Harley have named more than a dozen vessels after young people who have lost their lives to juvenile diseases such as Type 1 Diabetes and Cystic Fibrosis, and Betsy’s name will now join the others and forever fill the marine airwaves around Puget Sound.”

Artist comment: “This portrait was commissioned for Bob and Selma by their children, as a celebration of their 72 year marriage and their long time love for one another. The reference photo of them dancing was from their daughter’s wedding in San Francisco, but the background in the painting is from their beloved vacation spot in Hawaii. Uncle Bob, a decorated World War II veteran, is pictured below with the painting hanging on the wall behind him.. May Aunt Selma’s memory be a blessing, and may Uncle Bob continue to live a long and healthy life.”

Rob Bennett MD

Artist comment: I am honored to have been commissioned to paint this portrait of the late Robert Bennett MD, who founded the Rheumatology Department at OHSU. Although I never met Dr. Bennett, I know that he was well loved and respected by many at OHSU, and I’m happy that the painting will be featured on the walls of the department very soon!
