Artist comment: This painting of Charmaine Neville was created for a benefit concert for Sisters of the Road in Portland Oregon. Charmaine was gracious enough to donate her time to the concert, along with Reggie Houston, who she performed with at Snug Harbor in New Orleans until Reggie moved to Portland just before Katrina. Charmaine still lives and performs at Snug Harbor every Monday, and her show is not to be missed!
