Artist comment: This painting of Glen Moore was inspired by watching his performances which can be described as an ongoing joyful dance with his bass. His acoustic style of jazz is fascinating to listen to and watch, and when I learned he was going to be inducted into the Jazz Society of Oregon’s Hall of Fame, I started taking photos for the painting. Glen is an accomplished jazz musician, and is a founding member of the group Oregon. For the past 30 years, he has played the massive Klotz bass fiddle which was crafted in 1715.
