Artist comment:  “This portrait was commissioned by Alan’s wife, Miriam, who wanted to capture his enthusiasm for his passion, bicycle racing.  The photos for the portrait were taken at Portland’s Washington Park, which provided a perfect backdrop for Alan’s red bicycle.  I worked on the painting for several months, and had it ready for the holidays and the zoom unveiling with their family.  I’m so pleased that they are both happy with the portrait!”

Artist comment:  “This portrait of Bob Quillin was commissioned along with the portrait of his wife Vanessa, as a surprise gift to her in 2022.  Bob & Vanessa are wonderful members of the community, and were awarded the Outstanding Philanthropists Award by AFP Oregon & SW Washington in 2020.  They are also avid travelers, and their portraits are hanging in their home in Portland Oregon to celebrate memories of their favorite hotel and view in Miami, Florida.  It took over a year to finish the paintings, but I’m glad they like them!”
