Artist comment:  “This portrait of Bob Quillin was commissioned along with the portrait of his wife Vanessa, as a surprise gift to her in 2022.  Bob & Vanessa are wonderful members of the community, and were awarded the Outstanding Philanthropists Award by AFP Oregon & SW Washington in 2020.  They are also avid travelers, and their portraits are hanging in their home in Portland Oregon to celebrate memories of their favorite hotel and view in Miami, Florida.  It took over a year to finish the paintings, but I’m glad they like them!”

Artist comment:  “This portrait of Michael Mooney was created for Lewis and Clark College, to commemorate Mr. Mooney’s tenure as College President (1989-2003).”

Artist comment:  “This portrait of Liam was commissioned by his family, and captures him in his favorite place near his home in Portland.  We had several photo shoots for the portrait, both inside and outside, but this one was a winner!  Photos of Liam with his portrait are coming soon!”

Artist Comment:  “This painting was a commission to honor Barry Caplan’s 50th year at the Sussman Shank Law Firm in Portland OR.  It was an honor to paint his portrait for this occasion.  The photo shows Barry and his wife’s first reaction to the painting, and you can see his wife wiping away tears, which is very moving for the artist (me) to see.  It means I did my job!  I’m so glad they are happy with the portrait!”

Artist comment:  “This portrait of my daughter was inspired by a photo taken many years ago by her friend, Matt, at her adorable vintage apartment on NW Everett St. in Portland.  Notice how her nail polish matches the roses… yep, that’s my daughter!”
