Portland Open Studios
October 14-15 & 21-22, 10-5pm

I’m so happy to be participating in Portland Open Studios again this year! This is the 25th anniversary of this annual city-wide artist studio tour, taking place during the weekends of October 14-15 and 21-22. My studio will be open to visitors from 10-5pm each day of the tour, at 2021 SW Main St. #27. There are some stairs to my building, and a call box so I can let you in. If you are unable to navigate the stairs, call me at 503-720-0162 and I will let you in the side door. In addition to my entire collection of paintings and drawings, I will have smaller works that are available only once a year during this tour (color studies and 8×10 original drawings). And I will be working on my new painting of Keb Mo both weekends! More information, and an artist directory, can be found at https://portlandopenstudios.com/

My mom, Victoria

VICTORIA S. RUSSELL September 2, 1928 – August 29, 2022

My mom, Victoria, passed away on August 29th, just four days before her 94th birthday.  She was a wonderful artist, and specialized in portraiture, still life, and creating whimsical characters and subjects, both from life and from her imagination. She loved all of the arts, including dance, music, theater, and literature, and she shared that love with her family and friends. Mom found beauty everywhere, and will be remembered as a woman of grace, kindness, and generosity. Her artwork has been archived on her website for everyone to see at https://www.victoriasrussell.com/. I love you, mom, and I’m forever grateful for the gift of art that you gave me.
