I’m excited to be participating once again in the Mt. Tabor Art Walk! This is a wonderful neighborhood art studio tour, with many of the artists studios within walking distance. My location is at Realty Trust on Hawthorne, close to Mt. Tabor at 5015 SE Hawthorne. I’ll have new paintings and drawings for you to see, and I will be working on a new painting all weekend! May 20-21, 10-5pm both days. More information at https://www.mttaborartwalk.com/ I hope to see you there!
I am so honored to have been commissioned to create the cover artwork for Dr. John’s new posthumous album, “Things Happen That Way”. The album was in the works at the time Dr. John passed away three years ago, and it just came out last month. It is so exciting to be a part of it! Read more about it on Dr. John’s website, https://nitetripper.com.
I’m happy to be participating in Portland Open Studios again this year! Happening for two weekends, October 8-9 and 15-16. My mom, Victoria, passed away on August 29th, just four days before her 94th birthday. She was a wonderful artist, and specialized in portraiture, still life, and creating whimsical characters and subjects, both from life and from her imagination. She loved all of the arts, including dance, music, theater, and literature, and she shared that love with her family and friends. Mom found beauty everywhere, and will be remembered as a woman of grace, kindness, and generosity. Her artwork has been archived on her website for everyone to see at https://www.victoriasrussell.com/. I love you, mom, and I’m forever grateful for the gift of art that you gave me.
